Things to keep in mind about vaccinations:

Puppies must follow a vaccination protocol until after 14 weeks of age. Then they must be revaccinated annually. Vaccination plans may vary depending on the age and lifestyle of the animal.

In the case of dogs, the current recommendation is to vaccinate against leishmania all those dogs that live in rural areas, that carry out moderate to intense physical activities outdoors, that sleep outside the home or that live in risk areas. Currently it is advisable to vaccinate even those who live indoors, since in mosquito season the risk of contagion is high. It is always recommended to perform the Leishmania test prior to vaccination.

The rabies vaccine is recommended in any type of lifestyle, since it is considered a zoonotic disease (transmissible to humans) and is required for transportation within many communities and for traveling outside the country. Its application is being considered to make it mandatory.
